How to: Soft Kissable Lips

Having chapped lips can often be uncomfortable, painful, and embarrassing! Don’t you just hate it when your lips are dry, cracked, and flaking? You put lip stick or lip gloss on your lips and it just looks horrible. Well trust me and try this easy at home remedy for exfoliating your lips, leaving them soft and kissable! You can even use it on your skin for break outs.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-2 Tablespoons of Honey

-2 Tablespoons Brown sugar

-Mixing Bowl

-Wash Cloth

-Warm Water

 

STEP 1:

Mix the 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar into your mixing bowl. Your mixture should look like this when complete.

STEP 2:

Take your wash cloth and run it under warm water. Ring the wash cloth of any excess water.

STEP 3:

Take your wash cloth and rub it in a circular motion on your lips for about a minute to remove any loose dry skin.

STEP 4:

Use your finger or wash cloth to apply the mixture onto your lips using the same circular motion. If you use the wash cloth remember to be gentile.

STEP 5:

Rub your lips together a little (like when you put on lipstick) to make sure you applied the mixture in every crease. Don’t worry if you get a little in your mouth because this mixture actually tastes really good!

STEP 6:

Gently use a clean part of your wash cloth to rinse off your lips. Wahlah!! Soft, smooth, kissable lips!!

 

You should exfoliate your lips this way 2 times a week, especially during the winter. You should also apply lip balm that doesn’t contain products that are based from petroleum, menthol, camphor, phenol or titanium dioxide, as these ingredients just mask the problem of dry lips instead of curing it. Instead, use lip balms that contain beeswax, coconut oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil or shea butter. Other safe and effective ingredients include sunflower oil, candelilla wax, caranuba wax, and cocoa butter.
